Marty moved to Morganton in 1983. In 2000, Marty and his wife Karen built a home on beautiful Lake James where they still reside today. He worked in the automotive industry for 34 years and retired in January of 2022. He became a licensed Realtor in August of 2023. He is proud to be affiliated with Fonta Flora Realty. He enjoys volunteering his time for a local charity, the Casting for Hope organization. Casting for Hope is dedicated to aiding women with gynecological cancer, a cause deeply resonant with Marty and his wife, both cancer survivors themselves. Marty and Karen searched for many years trying to find a mountain property to enjoy with their children and grandchildren. In December of 2021 a realtor helped them find the perfect place.
