Ben Carey comes to C Shane Cook & Associates from a previous career in engineering, which originally brought him and his wife, Marie, to North Carolina in 2012. Ben enjoys the outdoor life, and you can often find him enjoying the opportunities Burke County has to offer, like mountain biking, trail and road running, and kayaking. The laid-back, outdoorsy lifestyle is what drew Ben and his family here, and is why they will continue to call Morganton ‘home’. Ben’s transition into real estate was fueled by his general interest in all-things real estate, and due to a family member’s recent home purchase, where he helped guide his sister into purchasing her first home. Ben finds the combination of problem-solving, mentorship, and process management extremely rewarding, and he is looking forward to developing and growing as a REALTOR in Burke County.
